This dog training and obedience program is designed for the owner who wants their retriever to get the early exposure to the outdoors, basic obedience and marking. We only accept one puppy at a time for this special program. This puppy will live in the house and will receive that one on one attention that is so necessary. It will be socialized to numerous variables. This puppy will be introduced to gunfire and swimming as well as the routine of training every day. It is imperative this course is scheduled in advance. This early training and exposure to numerous environmental stimuli allows the puppy to develop into a well-balanced and happy dog. If the dog and obedience training is enthusiastic and stimulating early on, this will make future training easier and more pleasurable for both you and your dog.
Nothing is more important for your pup than early socialization and exposure to the elements. Experienced gun dog breeders will start puppies at 5 weeks old to birds and the water. Knowledgeable trainers begin their obedience and start-up programs as early as 7 weeks. Puppies need the opportunity to explore all that will be in their environment to gain early confidence.
